Acrobat Sign - General

Your feedback is essential to helping us shape the future of Acrobat Sign. That’s why we have partnered with UserVoice, a third-party service, to create this site to hear your ideas and suggestions. Here, you can send us ideas for new features you’d like to see or report bugs that are getting in your way.

The UserVoice feedback pages are for feature requests and bug reports only. If your submission is not a product feature, suggestion, or product question, it may be removed.   1. Optional initials or Radio buttons

    My documents have an area where the signer has to pick Option A or Option B. So I need a set of radio buttons, checkboxes or optional initials.

    In the June 2021 release, the option to convert an enterprise-level account to allow users into multiple groups was added.

  3. Ability to Edit Documents after they have been sent for signature

    Several times I need to make changes to a document that has already been sent for signature but is unsigned. There should be a way that I can revise my documents and re-upload the documents as an edited document and resend to the signer. Currently the only option is to cancel the original request and create a new one.

  4. Facilitate large numbers of signers on counterpart signature pages

    A frequent legal task is getting sign-offs on consents, contracts or other documents from multiple parties. For example, I might need each of 50 stockholders to consent in writing to a resolution. There will normally be a separate signature line for each. The existing simple interface does not permit this. EVERY lawyer in the world wants this feature -- they just don't know it yet.

    Depending on the level of service purchased, Adobe Sign can support up to 100 signatures on one transaction. If more are needed, contact your success manager to discuss options.

  5. preview

    Need PREVIEW before sending that shows FIELDS that will be filled in by Signer in different colors, so a user can see that they have setup the document correctly.

  6. There should be customization for preset templates when setting signature fields

    I use the same contract template for many contractors. It's a pain to click and drag the sign and initial boxes every time I have to do a contract. The total page number never changes, and the content on each page only varies slightly for Scope of Services, Deliverables, etc. If I could have a template set for contracts that allows me to customize where I want the sign/information fields for 2 or more signers for contracts, it would save me a lot of time and probably prevent carpal tunnel. :-)

  7. Add ability to upload file when signing

    When signing the lease we want to require the signers to upload a copy of their ID. Would be nice to have such a feature.

  8. Create a Smart Tag for checkboxes; Allow Character Width for Smart Tags.

    I'd like to add Checkboxes to my documents automatically using Smart Tags, but there doesn't seem to be a Smart Tag for the CheckBox.

    And add coding to adjust the character width for Smart Tags (or maybe have a Smart Tag for 'memo field', 'text field', and 'form field' so that we have 3 sizes to choose from.

  10. International fax numbers

    Offer local fax numbers for receivers outside of the US. All international fax numbers could be listed on the cover page of the document, or the sender could specify in which country the receiver is located.

  12. Allow Multiple Signed Files to be created in one signing event

    Allow one signing to create multiple "signed" files. Often multiple files are needed to be signed, however, parts of the document need to go to different places. (1 document to account, 1 document to a partner company) yet EchoSign only creates 1 digital file. It must be unsecured and broken apart after the signing. If mulitple pdf "files" could be generated in 1 signing event it would eliminate this step and allow for "secured" files to be sent to the proper destination after signing. It would also ensure that multiple signings would not be needed (to obtain the same result).

    Hi John,
    This functionality is already supported by EchoSign. In the settings for your account, there is an option on whether EchoSign should create a single PDF file or keep the individual files separate. By default the files are merged into a single file.

    Once you have made a change to your account, you can send multiple files for signature at the same time and receive the signed files as separate files.

  14. Pop Instructions for Signers

    There should be a way to add pop up instructions for signers to let them know what they need to fill in and/or sign. This is to prevent signers skipping over areas and heading right to the signature line.

    The signing wizard guides signers through the document and all its fields and ensures they enter data in all mandatory fields.

  15. Add instructions for smart tags to the help section

    Please move (or add) the instructions for smart tags / pdf forms to the general help section. It was not obvious that this information was only located behind the Add Document link

  16. Allow Certain Non-Signed Pages to Be Remove from Finished Signed Doc

    I'm using ES to get some HR documents signed by employees. Often there are info-only documents that I send them in the batch (e.g. an FYI about how to use the company's website), and it would be great if the signer was able to see it but if that page was NOT included in the merged/signed copy that returns to me after the signer signs the other attached documents. I know there is a tag {{#REMOVEPAGEFROM_OUTPUT}} that removes a page from view before the signer sees it; it would be great if there were a text tag that…

    Hi,

    We understand the request. You can get the signed files separately. However we cannot allow removing pages from the signed contract as that would result in a signed document which is different from the version that the signer actually signed.

    You can configure your account to receive the signed documents as separate PDFs so that you can ignore the pages which are “information-only”.

    When changing the language to german, english still gets mixed in. The reply to the sender is in english. For a detailed list of things that need translating contact me.

  18. When exporting report data for library item, export field data from all documents created from this item (signed/unsigned)

    You can export form/ field data from a single document to csv - this works no problem...
    But what would be really, really handy is if I could export field/form data for multiple documents provided they originate from the same library item.
    The report function already does half the job, giving you signer and date info from all the documents created from a selected (filtered) item, if that report could export the form data as well for analysis that would save on a lot of tedious copy and paste work for many people

    The EchoSign Reporting capability already supports the ability to export the form field data. Please contact your client success representative to have them turn on this capability for your account.

    Any field filled by the sender or signer cannot be changed by subsequent signers. When using default values in Adobe PDF forms mark the field as ‘read only’ to prevent signers from changing the default value.

    You can configure your account to include the audit trail with the signed document. See “Attach audit report to completed documents” under account settings.
