Allow corrections to be made to conracts already sent out

Hi, I agree with all the echosign clients here who need higher levels of ability to make changes to documents that are already sent out. for example even if there is a typo on a document, i would like to be able to personally go back in and modify that so that i don't have to redo the whole thing. when there are dozens of items sent out and then a bad typo is found this is too much work to have to cancel and redo. i hope that echosign will regroup around these customer needs to make it much easier to accommodate customers. if i'm missing something and this is already possible please do let me know asap! i also sent out the question to support and the response was that id get an answer within 24 hours!! in the meantime i have 14 incorrect contracts out for signature and i guess i just have to redo them all.

Mangesh - Before you are so quick to close this ticket, you have misunderstood the request. We would like the ability to edit the data in the fields added to the document, not the text of the document itself. We know about the ability to suggest revisions, but that is not what we are requesting. An example is when we send out a contract to someone and they put their personal name where the company name belongs. If we could send this back requesting that they change that to the proper information, it would save a great deal of time rather than having them complete a whole new agreement. Please reopen this request for review.

Hi All,
EchoSign supports the ability for signers to suggest revisions to documents. This functionality is only supported when the source document sent to EchoSign is in an editable format (Microsoft Word). The functionality can be enabled in your account under the Account Tab in the Send Settings submenu.
When enabled, senders will have the option to allow (or disallow) the signers to suggest revisions to the contract. Signer can make changes to the document through an online environment and the signers will receive a redlined Word document with the signer's suggested changes. The agreement can be modified and then the revised agreement can be resent for signature.
Thks

I strongly agree with this suggestion. The natural process that occurs when we receive a legal document is to look it over, send it to legal, and send back the document with the changes required by our legal team. There should definitely be a "sent back with changes" option. The sender should of course be able to turn this feature on and off (or at least within the API) At the very least the sender should be able to receive the proposed changes and have the option to either re-send a version that he edits (perhaps counter changes) or to accept the changes as provided to him and sign.

Yes, this would be excellent. We've been encountering a problem with users entering thier name on the contract line for the company name (even though it clearly states "Legal Company Name" for the field). It would be great to send it back to them for edit rather than having to resend an all-new contract. How soon can we expect edits to be allowed?

Appreciate the suggestion here to make it easier for the sender to make corrections and/or resend documents for signature. We can review this with the team.

I've come across contracts/documents that were cancelled because of one minor issue. Would like to be able to take a document that's been cancelled, edit it, then resubmit it for signatures. (not have to fill out one completely from scratch.)

Agree i would like to be able to click into the document and edit it instead of having to do a whole new one

Agree that it would be nice to resend a document after it has gone out. [Or the ability to add a reminder after it's sent.. not all clients need a reminder but some do]

Second this one. We came across this recently when considering the document expiry option. Once it expires, it goes completely so you have to re-upload the document and send on. Would be useful to simply have a 're-activate' type option so you could re-send things.

Thanks Megan. This is coming (on our roadmap) but not yet started. More to follow.

Basically allowing changes to client information instead of having to send out a whole new Contract - with that being said to all us to send out the contract again once it has been sent would be handy as well!
